Buying a new CD Key - questions

It's time to buy another BF 2142 key. Too many bans but I am still addicted to the game =) I have a few questions about how to do it. The purchasing and delivery CD key seems very simple.

- I hope I can use my current BF2142 installation, but how/where do I enter the new CD key? Or maybe I do need to uninstall then reinstall the game with the new key?

- Do I need to Create A New Account at the launch screen of the game when using the new key?

- Can I revert back and forth between CD keys if I'd like to use my old account and old soldiers? If so, how?

No need to reinstall, just follow my below instructions:

Click Start.
Go to Run.
Type regedit and hit OK button.
Click on plus sign next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
Click on plus sign next to SOFTWARE.
Double click on Electronic Arts folder.
Double click on EA Games folder.
Double click on Battlefield 2142 folder.
Double click on ergc folder.
Data displayed will probably have x9392 only.
Right click on it and select Modify.
Type in x9392 and then your CD key.
note: include hyphens.

Hi Hacker. Thanks for the info. That looks suspiciously like the registry entry that the CD Changer program changes. I use that program all the time after server bans Mr. Green

I'm looking for where you enter the retail license key that would come with a new DVD installation. In other words, I essentially want to create a new account and new soldier as if I bought a new DVD.

It seems what you're describing is the authentication sent to the server before joining a game which is stored in the registry.
